Sacrificial support / ripping strips that stay put

I previously posted a video of a hole system jig I had CNC’d for me to put hole systems in tables. Here is a video of using the jig to make sacrificial mdf strips for ripping with a track saw, etc..  They have bench pegs in them, so they won’t move around when loading/unloading the table with sheeting.

I like what you have done here.  [big grin]  And, I can see other uses for those pegged strips. For instance, two set (90 deg to each other) along two adjacent edges of the table could be useful in establishing a square for assembly. Also, useful as a base for a fence system -- pegged to the table below, a fence would be better able to withstand heavier material bumped up against it without going out of position. And, I'm sure there will be other uses too. Nice work!

I am using the same on my portable work bench (also FOG inspired..).
I use them as sacrificial cutting strips. Works out quite well. I made mine from old bed-frame parts I had laying around...

I personally would add another two holes in each of them, so they could be easily stacked into eachother (keeping the pegs from sticking out) should I don't need them at the moment.
