sander for oak steps?

Hi, I have a lot of new oak steps to sand and poly, treads and risers. what sander would work best to prep these for finish?

For flat surfaces I'd probably use an RO125 or RO150. Then get an RTS for the corners.

Well the counts out a belt sander then...

Do they just need a touch up 180? Or more aggressive work?

Any sander with a corner attachment generally help.
Depending on the shape of the of it, the LS130 may have utility in the long corners.

For only doing a light sanding, then just about any brand random orbital or 1/2 sheet would work on the flats. For Festool that is ETS/EC 150 or RS2e. Other possibilities include the Mirka DEROS and the Mafell uva115e. But Bosch or Makita random orbital and a vacuum would do fine too. And a vacuum may be more important than the sander depending on how the house and its occupants enjoy dust.

If it needs some real hardcore sanding (like a RAS or RO150) then the problem will be in the corners, and getting them down to the fresh level.

What about the RO90 ?
Not quite as unwieldy - particularly on vertical faces.

yes just touched up maybe 120-220 grit i have a dts 400. i think it would be fine to use, but always like other opinions and if there is something to make the job more easy and more efficient. my cousin has the eta 150 and loves it. i was looking at that or the new brushless ets

Many stair people use the RO90 and swear by it even though the smaller pad size won't cover as much ground as the larger ETS 150.  However, you get the Delta pad with a RO 90 and the ability to switch from Rotex to Random Orbit very easily . So I can see their point .
