When I started reading FOG, I was surprised by the number of Festool Sanders people had, then I started refinishing my cabinets. I started with a RTS 400, then came the ETS 125, along with a CT 36, also the requisite Systainers and sand papers. Then I realized I needed the LS 130 for profiles and various profiles. Today I just ordered a RO 90 and the edge protectors for what it can do that the others can not. Soon a Systainer and round and delta papers for the RO. I didn't plan on all of this, it just happened. I left out the CSX. It really is a slippery slope.

The sanders and vacs are, to me, the best part of festool.  I have my old sanders out on permanent loan with the exception of my belt sander. I think you'll like the RO 90, especially with the soft pad.

My first Festool sander is the ro90, something tells me it won't be the last.

You have no clue how fast I went down this slippery slope.

My first Festool sander was a ETS125.  Thought that's all I needed.  Until I found myself needing something for corners.  In comes the DTS400.

I thought all my sanding need were met with the ETS125 and DTS400.

Then Festool had a recon sale last year and so I took that opportunity to pick up a RO125.  Didn't think I would use it that much.  I kinda bought it

just to have it, but next thing you know I found reasons to use it. So very happy I have it available to me know.

Next project came about around the house and wouldn't you know it, the DX93 found it's way into my collection.

And, once I start building my dinning room table I'm sure the RS 2 E will magically appear at my door ready for some action.

Oh yeah,  I want to build my hand railing also....so I may pick up the LS 130 for that project.

Dust collection is simple magnificent.  Unbelievable and makes sanding a pleasure.

And you mentioned the CXS....well be careful buddy, that only leads to another drill, like for me the CXS was the gateway to a C15 set.

Yeh the RS2E (RS200 in Oz) is the "required" sander for dining room table projects - so I suppose I'll put a dining room table on the project list [wink]

Who knew so many sanders were needed! [tongue]

Before I started with festool I had a B&D mouse and a belt sander.

My first Festool was an RO90, I thought it would be a do it all sander. Then came the Ets125 and the Planex for drywall work. Then I added a Ras115 for paint stripping and coping trim. Picked up a RO150 a few weeks ago. And just last week I added a recon Rts400 to help with sanding into corners and edges.

This all started about about 1-1/2 years ago! [eek]

I'm starting to thing we need another area on the forum, either "The Couch" or "The Confession Booth" ... somewhere either to explain away our "sins" or to seek help [wink]

And it does not stop with sanders...its all the other tools, storage, accessories, consumables...it never seems to stop!
