Sanding into the bottom and edges of a bowl with an RO90

I can manage to sand the bottom of a routered bowl if I stick a couple of interface pads on to clear the walls of the bowl, but with the interface pads comes less ability to get in there hard and remove some bits I'd rather weren't there. I was considering making a solid interface pad type of thing to allow me to use a little more force - in fact I did, out of MDF, just needed to get some adhesive velcro and stopped at that point realising I am about to attach a heavy disc of 25mm MDF onto a spinning machine and re-thought about using ply instead, with a hollow core to reduce weight.

When it comes to the side walls of the bowl a different problem becomes apparent. Namely getting into the transition between the bottom and the walls.

Any tips for either of these procedures please?

Just an idea.  Make an extension by sandwiching a length of  PVC pipe between two PVC end caps. Get your hands on some SCH 40 PVC  pipe with an OD between  2.5" - 3" along with some 3/4" thick trim " PVC lumber".  Into each of two  future end cap pieces of the PVC trim cut two recess circles or dados into the trim with a width equal to the thickness of the PVC pipe wall and about 3/8" deep  or 1/2 the thickness of the plate  - these will ultimately  act to receive the pipe.  Next cut the trim into 3.5" circles, concentric to the smaller dadoed  circles .  Trim the pipe to a length such that when sandwiched between the two 3.5" end caps it has an OAL equal to the length you require.  With PVC glue Glue the three pieces together; end cap - pipe- end cap. Next apply the hook surfaced  Velcro to both end caps and if desired drill holes to assist with dust extraction.  The glued unit will be light weight and very strong.  Warning the saw dust from PVC is highly static charged and will stick to everything, use a dust extractor wherever possible. Good luck

Make shallower bowls?

One question>>> Is the transition a 90º angle between horizontal and vertical?
Or is it rounded?
Is the bowl round or rectangular?
Oops! I see three question marks there.
After such a hard winter, i can only count t one, but 'm sure you can figure it out.

It'll always be kind of rounded as it's routered with a bowl bit, so a radius of (I have no idea but will pick a figure out of my head) about 15mm? Is that a thing?

Would be oval or circular in shape overall though.
