I just received my Sauter Shop Magnetic Bench Dogs. They made the trip from Germany to Missouri in 6 weeks. The box was slightly beat up however the contents were in excellent condition. It's ordered in 2 parts. SA-VB-BDOG-L, 2 Bench Hooks Long & SA-VB-MAG-KIT, 2 magnets with retainers. The bench dogs are double ended, measuring 20mm on one end & 19.94 on the other. The magnets are fairly strong and I believe along with the guide rail anti slip strips will keep the rail against the dogs during cutting with no problem.

I'm in the process of building a new MFT and used the Parf Guide System to drill the dog holes. The small end of the dogs slips into the holes firmly and the other end requires a little force requiring them to be twisted to extract. They have a hole to use a short piece of round stock or screw driver to remove them

Cool, I just saw Millards take on their mtf and all the goodies

Millard's video is where I first saw Sauter's products. You can't order in the US from their website. I sent them a message on their website and they sent me a PayPal Invoice to place the order.

Ohhh, I was definitely intrigued by these items from Peter's video.

If you don't mind sharing and if it is even appropriate to ask... what did everything in the pic cost you (with shipping)?

The magnets seem to be a very clever idea.

Maybe you can give us some feedback after you used their stuff for awhile.

I'm still working on my MFT but when complete I will provide some feedback on use of the magnetic setup.

I use these magnets they are miles ahead of any other way of clamping a rail and I've tried it all (ujk clips, rail dogs, underside clamps ). Rail is very easy to remove but stays in place. Doesn't affect the bevel angle of the saw like the underside clamps.

I use the magnets also with clamped 1-2-3 blocks for custom cuts and to increase my capacity since I cut down one of the long magnetic dogs so the saw motor clears stock of < 30mm thickness. For very thick stock a clamped 1-2-3 block can be used as tall dog and the other remaining tall dog at the other side. They are ridiculously expensive so I didn't want 2 sets of them.

Edit: Now that I think of it, I don't need these dogs at all since I could always just clamp 1-2-3 blocks. lol.

Hi, do you have a preferred online shop in the US you would like to buy these items from ? I am the inventor of the Vario-Bench system and looking for a shop in the US to work together with.
Or somebody else here maybe ?

I would try get in touch with [member=61691]TSO_Products[/member] folks. They already resell some of the UJK stuff and yours seem complementary. IMO can make for a nice cross-distrib deal ..

We miss TSO stuff in Europe for a change now that Axminster is not in the EU common market anymore ...
