I recently did a bonehead thing and pushed my ATF55 off the edge of my MFT.  It got me wondering if there's anyone using any kind of device or attachment to hold the saw securely, while keeping it handy as well?  I used to put it on top of my vac, but now I put the vac under the table, so I started placing the saw on the off cut side of the table top...no longer, however.  I could put it on the ground, but then I'd have to bend over and pick it up and that would be too close to exercise.

there are several designs on here for saw holders. basicallly they are all a box that bolts to the extrusion on the mft

The base of the TS55, and I assume the ATF, is unusually slick and it slides around a lot- I identified this as a hazard early on, but still almost knocked it off the table many times.
My quick solution for now is to make a systainer stack, say 30" high or so, and put a rubberized mat that I use for sanding on top (shelf liner sheet from Kmart), then place the saw onto it.
The stack sits just off to the right, and the mat holds the saw on top when you place it there.
Works well for an ad hoc solution- if you really trip on the vac hose or cord, you'll yank the saw off, but otherwise it holds well.

I keep my workbench stool to the right of the MFT when I am not using it. It's a perfect height and size to rest the saw on between cuts, and it has a back so it won't slide off.
