So hopefully this Summer my family and I will be moving back up to the Indianapolis area to be closer to my family.  And we will be looking at homes with some acreage (2 acres and larger).  And from looking at homes with that amount of land all have either a barn and or a separate building.  Sometimes that building is rather large.  So living in a home now with only a two car garage (I get one side for my tools and my wife gets the other side for her car)  I am rather limited in space so space and tool location is a premium.  If we go to the larger acreage most likely I will have a rather large...possibly massive area to put my tools in with plenty of space in between.  So those of you who either are a hobbist and or part time professional woodworker on the line of hobbist with massive building that is dedicated as a shop is it almost better off to use two Miter Saws?  Because I would keep my saw I have now and I was thinking to also use a SCMS for larger boards.

What are you thoughts on multiple Miter Saws when you have overly large shops that aren't used AT ALL IN A COMMERCIAL STAND POINT....because I can see how commercial shops have multiple saws of different types to move things faster.

I don't know if your saws will be stationary or if you need portability.  It used to be shops (and trim guys) used a 14" Hitachi chop saw but once Hitachi came out with their SMCS carpenters moved over pretty quickly.  I would not hesitate to recommend a SMCS and the budget is up to you.  We have used DeWalts for years, they have their limitations and are not as nice as the Kapex looks, but it has not limited our work.  A poor carpenter blames his tools... but it sure is better to have nice tools!
