Picked up a Sys5 yesterday to put my Senco 1010, Grex and a 25' air hose in. I think there is even room for another Grex [eek] [attachthumb=1][attachthumb=3][attachthumb=2]

nice. Too bad my jc10 won't fit in one of those. I used a friends 1010 once and found it slow… but great for smaller guns.

Are you sure that isn't a sys5? I just tried my 1010 in a sys4 in that configuration and I couldn't close the lid. I also had to remove the rubber feet and it still seemed to bow the front a little.

I stand corrected, Sys 5. Although it would fit into a sys 4 without the hose. I did cut the handle on the compressor and welded it back on to prevent the bowing. It fits in with the rubber feet at the back. I figured since it had to be on all feet to drain the tank once in a while, there was no use mounting it into a sys. And besides, where would all the moisture go? I only use this one for a 23ga pinner, so it is more than capable, and quiet.

2 bars = sys 3
3 bars = sys 4
4 bars = sys 5
This thanks to Shane's post about how to tell which sys from a distance. always one short.

Yeah Wood,

Nice tool to have for small air tools on install jobs because it fits in a Systainer.  Most guys cut the bar off and put it in right side up  [scratch chin]

Cheers, Sam

I hadn't noticed your signature until now:

"Kapex, MFT, CT22, CT33 and boom, CT36, TS55, TS75, PSB420, MFK700EQ, OF1400EQ, Domino, RO90FEQ, ETS125EQ, 5 rails and case, Systainers, Cooltainer, T-shirt, Festool mat, Tanos, Mirka, WOW first aid kit."

I have to tell you that brought a smile to face, and gave me goosebumps all over! Thank you for that!

You are welcome for that, the first aid kit is pretty impressive.

I have a senco 1010 in a systainer classic 4 for over 10 years and with the handle cut off, i fit a 25' urethane hose and a grex 23 gauge pinner and a ridgid 2 1/8" brad nailer.  i guess the classic has more room in the right places to accomplish this. i did have to put the compressor in a certain way otherwise it bulged the side out, i put in 180 degrees and it fit.

got my senco and cut the round ends in the tank and welded a flat piece , now I'm able to fit the compressor sideways.

so now I fit the compressor, two air hose, two nail guns
plus I replace the top lid with a lid that has an attic so it allows me to store my nails.

everything is so compact that I may even be able to use a sys4 and save space on my shelves.

Now that's extreme modding :)

Used my new setup the other day on site for the first time and it was great. Wish I'd just bought a senco years ago when I first saw one.

I just need to notch out the sys5 for the power cable and maybe put a grommet around the cable

have you guys made any provisions for ventillation? those little guys can get pretty warm.

I puta small compressor in a sys #5. And I put the sys mft top lid for ventilation

Have you had any trouble running the compressor in the Systainer? Just picked up a Senco 1010 and thinking about putting it and the hose in a Sys5 and my guns and nails in Sys4. Even maybe going so far as to run an electrical port though the side for the compressor. My concern though was ventilation, so the MFT top is a great idea!

I have the compressor two brad nailers and a 50 foot and 25 foot hose and it all fits in the sys5, I have not had any heating issues

Same here and no problems so far. I put an inline connector on my cable so this and the hose all fit through the central mft lid hole. Not sure but guessing your US style plugs fit through that hole anyway so no need for a connector
