server busy issue

hi there.
lately i have been getting a server busy  screen when i refresh the forum . mostly around 10pm -12pm gmt
any one else getting this,
is it my end or is the fog over stretching its servers again

I have had the same thing occur a couple times in the past week or so. Thought it was at my end though

There have been two instances when this happened that I'm aware of. Both were around the same time of day. It hasn't happened since, to my knowledge.

Regarding server capacity, we have a server that runs the forum that I can allocate resources to dynamically as we need them. I happened to have upgraded the capacity not long before this began happening to use more processor cores. The server has far more capacity and processing power than it needs.

I also contacted our server provider about it and they didn't see anything on their end. I just assumed it was a glitch since it stopped after happening twice, back to back days (11/20-11/21).

Are you having problems with it today?

I noticed the FOG loaded slow the last 2 days. I made a post a couple of hours ago uploading two small pictures, 18 kb each, and it took like 5 minutes, while it should be seconds.

Ah ha! It's was Alex uploading these colossal images that slowed the server!  [mad] [ban]

Shane.  I did have the issue earlier this evening around 5:00 or so. It was a one time thing for me as I rebooted my IPad and all seemed ok again

I'll dig through some logs and other fun stuff to see if I can figure out what's going on.

Was waiting it out to see if it would eventually recover on its own. It didn't.

I guess more digging to try to figure out the cause.

I tried to send a note to this discussion.  At around 3:15 am, I started having same slow down problems as others have noted.  I tried sending my own notice of such and had to try several times.  At about 3:30, I finally got a message the site had crashed.  [oops]

It appears to be ok now.
