Service All-Inclusive

Im glad this is being introduced elsewhere. This has been available in the uk for a while i think. My midi i bought earlier this year still has the all inclusive card attached to the mains lead.

This is one of the reasons i am moving over to festool along with the theft cover on tools  [big grin]

ive got a year old ts55 shane. the other day i had a slight disaster and tripped over the vac hose pulling it off my table. it was locked at the time so i could change the blade.

...

is it worth claiming for this or can i wait until it needs a service? is it worth getting them checked over? i plan on getting a fair bit more festool gear like so hoping my festool app soon has a lot more stuff on it,.

Paul, unfortunately the warranty would not cover damage incurred by something like this. It covers material defects or defects in workmanship.

hmm i perhaps worded it incorrectly. lets try another way. does service all inclusive mean like a service you might get on a car? sort of a check over make sure its running bang on? or is it like a warranty i might expect of any other manufacturer? like if i was to send it to festool uk when it wasnt needed would i pay for the broken bit to be repaired but the saw would also come back checked for all correct adjustments and the like?

thanks shane

Fin,

Since policies and program vary slightly from country to country, I'd recommend you contact Festool UK for verification. But, in the US/Canada, we always check calibration on tools when they come in for service and also clean them up, etc. Just part of the standard routine for servicing a tool.

I would check with Festool UK regarding whether there might be a charge to check it out or not.

I am in Puerto Rico, which has been problematic in the past with some vendors (some think that we are international, even though we are not). Does this warranty include us?

Puerto Rico is excluded. Sorry.

Puerto Rico is excluded. Sorry.

After some additional discussion on this topic, we have decided to change our position and include Puerto Rico.

Heck yeah! It gets very lonely out here in the middle of the ocean.

Thanks Festool for your kind consideration.
