I watched the Festool tv show on this subject, and it's darn good! now I know how to do that. What I'm wondering is he didn't turn that little yellow wheel, and it seemed to be on "7" .  Does this need to be zeroed as well?

I'm guessing that this wheel will move the depth stop up and down? do I loosten the depth stop lever first?

Depending on how you use it, the travel of the micro-adjust should either be in the middle or toward one end of the travel. It depends on if your technique has a bias to shorter or longer or if you are trying to hit dead on with the "coarse" set up, in which case, you would set the micro-adjust travel in the middle.

do I loosten the depth stop lever first?

No, if you loosen the lever, the depth stop can move freely. You want only the micro-adjust to be moving it once you get it to the coarse set up.

Ok, thanks! I got it now :)  this router is sure smooooooth wow! and I'm coming in from a really old Makita with bad bearings, and a not so old triton with a bent arbour, so the Festool just shines in comparison.
