Setting Up Seneca Parallel Guides?

I know the Seneca Guides are pretty simple to set up, but I'm having a problem understanding just how the rules on the T tracks are set.  If the guide is on the keeper side of the cut, then the shortest stop setting I can use is about 10".  If I slide the rule up to 10", then I lose 10" of the 24" of rule...right?  Or what?

That sounds right.  You can get extension rules from incra.  I'm trying to figure out if anything else works.

I've got some Starette rules that might slide in there, but they do have a sticky back. They are also metric/imperial, so that might work out nicely if they do fit.

I ordered the Lexan scales from Incramental tools.  They are about $2.00 each.  After I cut part of it off, I slid the purchased end over the one I cut, and the marks line up perfectly, and dont move.

I threw the 10" waste back on the t-track after the original tape ended. But I don't really trust the tape measure on it(since its not permanently affixed) I prefer to measure and mark the piece and set both guides on the one side of the track. Then take measurements to verify that I'm parallel. Once it's set like that I trust it more.

I set the rulers so that 0 was at 10" so every cut I make I just know to subtract 10" that way I didn't have order extra rulers and I'm still able to use the whole rail.
