For Shaper Origin users...

I recently made the supplemental blade cover for the Festool CSC SYS 50 Table Saw as shown in their YouTube video:

Here's the link to SVG file on the Shaper Hub site:

Rather than the Festool hardware, I used metric hardware. It seems to work fine.

Thank you for sharing.

They did not show it in actual usage.

Pushing material along the fence is nearly impossible with that guard in place.

I’m guessing it’s meant to be used with the crosscut sled❓

Found the answer to my question:

Yes that blade guard is meant to be used when doing operations with the crosscut sled.

Wolfgang and Dusty Lumber show it being used at the 1:30 minute mark.

Yes, I should have included a link to that video as it explains the benefit of the guard better. I plan to use it with the miter gauge/crosscut sled.

Thanks for posting that video.

For some reason this CSC SYS 50 reminds me of my first table saw - Ryobi BT3000 with the integrated sliding table.

I had one of those as well.
Ha - I've been through at least half a dozen table saws but now have a 1950 Uni that my son and I completely reconditioned. I'm so pressed on space in my garage shop this CSC SYS 50 looks interesting.
