Shed Ramp Question

I built my shed doors so the face trim (1x4's) overlapped the opening by about 1" top and bottom. My old shed doors were flush and this allowed some rain water and snow to enter the shed, but, not often. Now that I'm ready to build the ramp I was thinking now I will now have a 1" step between the top of the ramp and shed floor. Will this be an issue - I do store a lawn tractor in my shed? I can easily move the trim back to flush with the floor if needed.

How are other sheds and ramps built? - Thanks

I had a ramp on my old shed (the ramp is since toast and the people who bought the house from me trashed it, but that's for another time).  I stored my motorcycles in there, and it wouldn't have made a difference if the lip was an inch different or flush, because they just rolled up and over them.  When we moved and got a new shed, I ended up just leveling the ground to within 6 inches and I hike up my push mower when I get it in and out rather than worry about a ramp.  The garage is for the motorcycle (singular) now.

The lip on a garage is usually anywhere from 1/2"-1".  Older curb-and-gutter was 3-4 inch before everyone started doing easing and curb cuts.

A one-inch-proud (or short) ramp shouldn't cause any issues for a lawn tractor, wheelbarrow, push mower, or just about anything else with larger wheels.

A small push cart like the original Festool Sys board on 2" wheels?  Maybe a problem, but not insurmountable.

I'll see if I can dig up any pictures of my old shed.  Our new shed has doors that overlap, and there's diamond plate angle (or just diamond plate, bent) at the entrance to help protect the lip.

Guess the 1” step will not be a big deal.

I did find a ramp someone built for sloped ground without leveling the ground. At first I thought it was strange but now I’m thinking of copying the design!

I have a home in a flood zone so the house is elevated with the main floor about 10' above grade. I built a dedicated shed for the mower on a platform that is about 4' above grade. The ceiling is the plywood underpinning of my house so it is not really a shed, but it does have a ramp and there is not a transition. It sits about 3' in from the edge of the house above and the floor is PT and spaced so any water would just run through. My issue is the ramp length required to get up 4' and not drag the bottom of the mower and be climbable. First iteration failed the climb test so I took it apart and added more length.

All that said 1" is none issue. Might round over the edge of the floor above the ramp just to avoid splintering from use or from forgetting to raise the mower deck.
