Shipping?

I seem to get a different answer depending on which retailer I asked so hopefully Shane or someone else can clear this up

Are the retailers supposed to be charging shipping on the refurbished prodcuts that come directly from Festool?

We do not dictate shipping charges for dealers to charge their customers for recon orders, that's their choice. Hence the different answers.

Ok, I see. And I'm not trying to be difficult but just trying to understand... I thought the recon tools actually shipped directly from Festool, but that would mean that the dealers are charging for shipping when they're not actually shipping anything?.... I'm probably just not understanding how this works so forgive the ignorance. I just like to know what I'm paying for, especially when the dealer I'm paying isn't completely sure if they're supposed to charge me for it.

In fairness to your dealer, there are some items considered oversized that we charge a shipping fee. Items like the Kapex, CMS, MFT and CT 48 are examples.

The retailer fixed the issue and ended up not charging any shipping... thanks for the help.
