Finally finished my workshop today. We built the house and moved in two years ago  [embarassed]

I do a lot of steel work as well but only use TIG in the attached garage so there is no splatter or smoke.

Custom build the cabinets. The center island cabinets were bank cabinets a friend scored for me that I bolted together and put a top on as well as vice shelf on end.

The bench with the sander and miter saw has slide outs for the sander and saw as well as all of the systainers.

Its hard separating wood stuff from steel but think I did a decent job.  Building a 21 x 15 building out back this summer so the tractor, shovels, ladders, etc will go out there and give me more space for stuff like a wood bandsaw and a few other things.

That is an awesome space...very clean and well organized!  Congrats!

This is for sure an awesome shop, setup, just the space alone makes me want more from mine.

great shop.
loads of space.

i think your little deluded (in a good way )to think its finished. i have finished my shop 4 times already  and still have hundreds of things id like to do. iv given up on the pipe dream that it will be finished. there are too many great ideas on forums like thes that keep the ideas coming in

very nice looking shop!    what are the dimensions (broken up into the deeper area and shallower area as 2 rectangles)  looks like you have plenty of space.

Thanks everyone.  As far as being done I realize it will change and that's OK.  But I guess we finally got it painted where anything I build against wall can be a finished product.

As far as size. Its a 3 car garage on the front  and half of that (one car door side) is 37' deep. Its about 1100sf. We park two vehicles in the 2 car side.  The 3rd stall is meant to be a work area but until I get tractor shed built the John Deere stays there.  During the final month before we built I did add a second set of stairs from garage to basement to my design.  So we have direct access from the garage instead of using the U shaped stairs in the house.  Its very handy but took a premium chunk out of my shop!

Heated floors from the Geo Thermal system so I can hang out here during the winter.

And Skynard has been blasting on speakers many times.  They are Genesis 2+ Speakers I bought in 1979 when I was young. They are hooked to a vintage Pioneer.  It's not the best system but great for a garage and part of my youth.

Nice shop, you did good.  [smile]

I like the dog house. Hopefully  they won't out grow it.  [big grin]
