Hello,

I’d like to share my last workshop improvement with you, because I merged a few concepts:
- Shop Vacuum Cyclone Cart
- Shop vac silencer
- Air Filtration
- Vac Boom Arm

I was annoyed about the vacuum cleaner and cyclon on the floor. Constantly the hose located at the feet. When I worked alternately with multiple machines, the cable and the hose have all involved tidy. I wanted to realize a suction arm, the power and tubing sets such as the Festool ASA1200 directly over the work area.

Thus, the vacuum cleaner is not too hot in its box, the fan draws the warm air from with.

First, I wanted to slip the middle part carpeted, but the soundproofing is already OK.

I hope you find suggestions

Arnd

In my above reply, I meant to say the whole idea is quite ingenious.  A great job over all.

I think that the fan blows out. Probably only runs if the vac runs. Vac draws the air in, exhausts it out of the vac and then the fan pushes it out of the enclosure.

Hello Tinker,

there are two holes in the top. The round one on the right side is filled with a coarse filter. In front of the square hole on the left is pleated filter for fine dust, - you can see it in the last picture.

Here is a schematic representation (but in german):

I see where it exhausts.  I was not thinking of the air coming in to the enclosure by way of the vac and exhausting into the enclosure.  Good idea all around.

[member=11130]Arnd[/member], I can read your schematic without reading the words.  some times it is not necessary to know the words.

My wife is German.  In the past, when we would visit her family, her brother in law and i found out we could communicate even tho neither of us could speak the other's langauge.  We were both outdoors in the woods types and also involved in construction. He was an iron worker and i was a masonry contractor.  We could communicate in the knowledge of our interests.  the first time we found this out, we were in an argument about construction.  we were talking loud and beating on the table.  My wife tried to interpret for us, but we assured her we needed no interpretations.  We found out we could also communicate out in the forest alone together.  Even tho we could not understand words, we found out we knew what the other of us were talking about.
