I've been wanting to try this for a while, finally had a project that needed simple lids for some underbed storage boxes. I doubt its original, but I haven't seen anyone post on it so figured I share.

Started off printing an adapter bushing to adapt my largest router copy bushing to a base I'd made for another purpose. The 40mm hole is centered 100mm from one edge, the busing adapted I think 1" to 40mm:

Set up a guide rail so I could slide each panel under it, using the edge of the worksurface as a reference to space the panel 150mm from the rail giving me the desired ~50mm box lip:

Route/rotate/repeat:

Trim out the corners:

CA glue and wa-lah:

Material is just 3mm hardboard, the first one I added masking tape to the backside to reinforce the bends but decided it wasn't necessary and skipped it on the next 3. Little bit of maths and it as easy to nail a precise ID/OD.

I've got a bunch of nominal 1/4" plastic sheeting I'm going to try next to make up some trays for shop stuff.

Nice. I would attach a fence to the router sub-base and reference from the edge of the work piece, rather than guide rail.

That'd be simpler, never occurred to me... [doh]
