Hi All,

I have a Sjoberg work bench, and I have been getting into hand planes.  Not a great combination, as the Sjoberg is not built for that kind of stress.  So I have been trying to figure out what to do.  Including getting a MFT/3

The MFT/3 is out because it is less stable & robust than the Sjoberg, in this regard.

So I took a piece of .75" thick MDF, cut a piece 2" wide & bolted it in as a cross member.  Much more better.

Take care,

Careful Ed,
Once you get a good plane tuned up and singing, the slope's every bit as slippery as the green one.

Charlie Mac, I know.  It does not look good for me.  My wife will catch on eventually.  I just need to learn how to use them properly :)
