In Holland you can get the Slide-Kick.
It's a hose hook which can be attached to your belt.
It keeps the hose away from the material and rails.
Look at the YouTube video and you'll get it: Slide-Kick
I like it!

That's a cool, simple solution.
Hopefully they will start selling to the U.S. soon.

I can't get google to translate the page.
Can you tell us how much it costs?
Thanks for posting

The Slide-kick cost €23,95 incl. VAT.
If they is more interest on the FOG I can buy some of them and send them over to the USA, UK or other countries.

I use climbing carabiners for the same purpose.  You can often buy them for $5-6 on climbing distributor sites, I just use my old ones.  You can also sue the cheap ones sold for keys but they are not very durable.

great idea... are you talking about something like this, maybe?  Or the big metal ones (they have some pretty big ones at home depot).  Do they allow the hose to travel through without sticking?

Wow I really like that. I could use that for many things. I hope one of the USA dealers finds a way to carry this.

This looks like a great idea, but with my luck, I would set the saw down, get distracted, and end up pulling it to the floor by walking away before disconnecting everything from my belt!  Ouch! [sad]

neeleman,

Where in Amsterdam could I purchase one of these?  My wife and I will be traveling to Europe in April.

Thanks!

Neeleman: perhaps you could "hook me up" with two of them? Or are they easy to order to Sweden?

I had a terrible day the other day at the work shop with having to work in an area where the cord and hose was constantly snagging and I nearly popped a vein after a while. I do have a few climbing carabiners around for power cords but none that would fit the hose.
