Question.
I recently purchase the OF 1010 router and want to make smaller circles / rings cuts that the trammel bar allows, say 3 to 4 inch diameter.
I am using 18mm Baltic Birch, and need to cut a rabbit, say 104mm diameter, 16mm wide and 5mm deep, basically a ring, then a through hole in the BB.
Attached is a drawing of the tweeter - speaker I am trying to flush mount in the ply. I thought about making a circular gig, to use a router bit with guide roller,
to cut the ring to depth and width, then use a second circular jig to completer the through hole for the body of the speaker.

Any thoughts are welcome.

If you are going to be doing a lot of circle work you may want to look at and talk with the Microfence folks regarding your requirements.  Not the least expensive option, but top quality tools and support.  They can do circles from virtually nothing to over 12 foot radius IIRC.  No association other than
I use there router accessories...  Good Luck

To all: Thanks for the reply. I looked at the microfence, but the smallest circle it could cut was 6"?  May be I missed something, I will go back and review their information. I liked the suggestion from Wim, cheap DIY, and repeatable. One item I did not mention was I need to be able to repeat this function, so a coping saw, will take to long.

I will try Win's suggestion this weekend, and report back how it worked out.

Thanks,
Tom R

Todd is correct!  I have almost everything Micro fence makes.  Their products are to top notch and have several items on sale this week.  I too have no affiliation with them... I just love their tools.
