Folks talking about hoses in another thread got me thinking about a small hose to fit the sanding blocks. My wife uses a CPAP machine for her sleep apnea and every six months or so the insurance company replaces her mask and hose.

The hose is about 2 meters long. Has two soft rubber ends sort of like the Festool tool end. One end has a hard plastic adapter that is about 27 mm OD and fits inside the Festool 27mm hose. The inside of the softer rubber should fit something 20-22mm.

If you know someone that uses a CPAP, might want to check it out.

Here are some pics

The hose is probably being replaced because of the build up of bacteria, viruses, or germs within the hose. I would check with a health professional to see about reusing this hose for any purpose.

What do the instructions say about reusing the hose?

It gets cleaned and sanitized regularly with white vinegar.

Plus since I'm sleeping next to her when she has it on, sucking dust and air through it and exhausting that sir through a HEPA filter would seem to be a lower risk.  [eek]
