Snappy for Centrotec Quick Review

Hi guys,

Sorry for the bump, but I recently bought a Trend Snappy 60 piece kit thinking that they would also fit the Festool Centrotec system if I ever was to buy a Festool CXS. I presumed this judging on the comments by other people in this topic. However now I've bought a (second hand) Festool CXS I find that the Trend Snappy drills etc. fit no way near on my CXS!

Do you think there's something wrong with my centrotec bit holder OR did I just order the wrong kind of Trend Snappy bits?

Unfortunately you probably picked up the non Centrotec version without knowing it. I was at my local woodcraft the other day and they are literally indistinguishable other than a big round bright green sticker on the bag that says it's Centrotec ready. If your case didn't have that sticker then you didn't get the correct set :/

Ouch...that is dissapointing :(

I have this set > http://www.toolstop.co.uk/trend-snappy-snap-th2-set-fabric-tool-holder-60-piece-set-p10722. Do you know if there's a Centrotec version of this one at all?

Or does anyone know if there are any Centrotec metric sets available? Other than the Festool ones...

Looks like I misunderstood by thinking the Snappy bits are centrotec compatible by default. Would've been nice if Festool made a nice and small/slim chuck for 1/4 hex just like the centrotec one..

Yeah, I think that might have been suggested once or twice before...

[wink]

Haha, there's a understatement I suppose ;)

I just ordered the BHS 65 1/4" Centrotec bit holder. I suppose that will have to do for now.
