Brice, I'm also very interested in the WCR. Hoping my local dealer gets one in stock to check out. My guess and desire is that the WCR would work out as jobsite station. Keep necessary tools and parts all right at the location say when doing a built-in install, component assembly, custom trim fabrication around X, etc. Get on the job, pull stuff out of the Sys and organize on the WCR and start working. Should make a good side piece along side an MFT. A lot to haul around but impressive and efficient.
I'm interested to see how the shelfs and hangers actually work and fit with typical hand tools. Hammers, chisels, wrenches, Trion, etc. Or are the shelves just odd shaped so non-Festool stuff just doesn't fit well.
I'm not sure tipping should be an issue at least for me. My CT always has a bunch of heavy Sys on top of it.

You could wheel it around with it on the vac but, I don't think it would be real easy to pick it all up in one shootin match.
It will be an extra trip but, I think it is well suited for both on site and shop work.
I always end up with a pile of tools on my mft and then piling them on the ground.
I think it is worth it for sure and like a lot of these accessories you really need to use it to see how it will benefit the individual.

You know what Brice, your reviews on your site have been responsible for a lot of Festool sales, you would think that Festool would let you have one to review on the FOG! [big grin] [big grin]
Festool would get more sales because FOG members trust your experience and honesty, and you would get to keep the workcentre.

When this was first announced I was convinced I would get one. I am always setting stuff down somewhere, need something stable to set a tool on, etc.
But, I am almost exclusively working my home workshop.
When I was at the cabinet class back in November we got a chance to fiddle with it for a few minutes.
Here’s my takeaway: It is nicely built. It would be VERY handy for those with “where’d-I-set-it-down disease", and the tool hooks, shelves, and what-not do give you a little mobile workshop. If I were an on-site contractor, or had tons more work to on my own and families’ houses, I would pick one up.
As it is, I spent a lot last year on ancillary side tables, and on MFTs… including picking up two MFT800s (closeout, yay). I find these are ideal side tables in my workshop for setting stuff down, especially since my 1080s are on 5” risers.. Since my workshop has a huge post in the middle, I have a tool hook attached there. And my CT lives under my main MFT1080 cutting station. Everything else I need is a few steps away.
So the more and more I thought about my needs, the WCR isn’t ideal for me. It IS nice. It seemed well made and very well thought out. It’s like a cross of a CT, boom arm support (hooks), and Pack-Rack (shelves and top).
I do not see any way you could carry it all as one unit. But the WCR clips on/off, so it would just be an extra trip and the few seconds to attach it.
