I have two sets of Sorby mortise chisels for sale.
The first is a set of registered chisels in the following sizes: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1". These chisels have ash handles that are double hooped with leather washers on the bolsters. These chisels have been lightly used, except for the 1" which is in new condition. The edges are in the same shape they were after the last time I used them on cherry knots, which is to say that the edges need some attention - light grinding to honing. These chisels are made for heavy duty whacking. A canvas chisel roll is included.
The second is a set of sash mortise chisels in the following sizes: 1/4", 5/16", 3/8". This set also includes a 3/8" corner chisel. These chisels have boxwood handles with a single hoop and a leather washer on the bolster. The 1/4", 5/16", and the 3/8" corner chisels are all in new condition. The 3/8" mortise chisel has been flattened and sharpened, but will need to be honed. These chisels are made for more precision mortising than the registered chisels. A canvas chisel roll is included.
