I have recently bought a sortainer.Once i got home i disconnected it from my new sys 2 t-lock,one of the green latches popped off.On close inspection i noticed a flaw in the indention that keeps the latch in place. Is this fault common in the sortainers or am i unlucky with this item???Thanks for any responses.

I don't think it's a common fault - do you mean that there's a flaw in the moulding, ie a bit missing? If so, ring Festool UK tomorrow, I'm sure they can send you another in the post.

Alternatively, phone the dealer you bought it from & they can contact Festool UK on your behalf.

Yeah theres a nick in the moulding,Ill be taking it back tomorrow to get it replaced!!!The dealer must have knew it was faulty when he clicked it to the sys 2.And its an excuse to buy the festool cordless holster ;D

I wouldn't worry about it being "common" I have 6, some as old as three years and not a problem 1. Like Johnny said get with your dealer I'm sure they'll take care of it.

i had exactly the same problem if i got you right. its not the green latch that is the problem, but the indentation in the sortainers top, right?
when you open the latch it turns a bit because there is just too much play. it then easily pops off.
i got my whole sortainer replaced by a new one no problem.

;) i see...reading the repsonse posts to yours i must have forgotten what you wrote in the first place somehow ^^
funny how its almost exactly what you said :D i shouldnt be on the fog so late at night...

Hi Jimmy7,
My sortainer, does not have that problem.

Anyway I would like to ask, what is a festool cordless holster?

Cheers,
jacques.

Its a strap thats attached to a ball and it clips into a holder, well the strap is attached to your cordless or any other tool you like.Their will be a link some where on the fog
