spare RAS handle

I noticed in the systainer for the RAS there is a spare handle. I was wanting to remove the dust guard on my RAS, and just use a handle, but I can't figure out how it attaches.

The dust guard came off ok, but then? there's two large slot screws on the machine, but I didn't un-screw them as I thought that they might be for the bushes.

How's the spare handle attached?

I think that the spare handle rarely gets used here in NA due to the fact that we don't get all the attachments available for the RAS.  I checked the ekat drawing for the RAS and the image below is where I believe the handle could go if the dust extraction hood was removed.  Those plastic screws are not for the brushes.  The brushes are at the tail end of the machine if I read the ekat diagram correctly.

I have also attached a link to the owners manual ( I misplaced mine) that should help with removing the dust hood.
