I'm thinking of doing some metal work and the Festool product listing is not providing any specifications... hoping someone here can help!

What are the dimensions of the Spark Trap?

What size hose fits on each end?

Also, I'm not sure exactly how the thing works- hot particulates get stuck in the trap, or they just cool down there without somehow going to the vac?

It's basically a hollow metal drum with a steel plate in the path of the particles going toward the CT. It has a male 50mm connection to plug into the CT and a female 50mm connection for the hose(s) to plug in. The inlet and outlet are coaxial and the steel plate inside is normal to that axis. That means that anything flying in there hits the steel plate and drops to the bottom of the drum.

It works for hot metal or chunks, like rocks, cement debris, whatever.

Thanks,  Tom!
From the stock picture it doesn't look like a 50mm connector. Must be pretty sizeable.
