I've got an outdoor project (Garden Door) underway and needed some outdoor use dominos. I could have bought some SIPO ones but decided to try to make some for myself.

As the door is being made from planks of Iroko I decided to use up some of the offcuts to make the dominos.

I sized them to fit the larger of the 2 widths available on the 700XL and to make them a bit longer than the standard ones so I made them 8mm x 24mm x 60mm and used a 3/8" radius round over bit to complete it. They look quite good but I will chamfer the ends and maybe scratch a pattern in them when I am ready to fit them.

I have fear about these DIY Dominis, because Real dominos are dried and compresed. I hope that, this dominos will not change shape.

Sipo Dominos are wery  expensive,  so I use basic dominos with lot of D4 water resistanat glue.

Sorry, my english isnt good

EDIT: For my basic diy projects i use all time basic domino. For client sipo.

Your English is better than my 'any other language'.

Those should work just fine. Tenons have been used for centuries without "patterns" on them. As long as there is the smallest space for glue on the edges, I see no issues. Nice job.

Thanks, I was advised this was the most cost effective way to get outdoor dominos.
