Many of you will recognize Jory from our various videos where he was featured. Well, Jory and other furniture designers will go head-to-head in a new TV show on Spike called Framework on Jan. 6th. Check out the Spike website for more info.

You may see a little green in the trailer, too.  [smile] GO JORY!

Shows like this must do some behind the scenes marketing and promotion deals with tool companies.  Are they working with Festool for prominent product placement?  Would you even be able to tell us?

Festool was asked to be part of the show in a non-paid capacity, as many of the contestants like working with our tools.

We're happy to participate and hope the show does well, as well as Jory.

I can't wait!  I see lots of green in the background.

If you're interested, I saw an ad coming to HGTV for a show with Ellen DeGeneres too that is for furniture design that had a Festool TS 55 in the preview.

I happened across one of those crap bath crashing shows on one of those handy home owner channels and the guy had a bunch of festool stuff (I consider 3 a bunch).

The show sucked, but when he gave the lady of the house his Rotex sander to use, well that was pure comedy gold.

at about 0:08 in that ellen show preview you can catch a quick glimpse of what is probably a siegmund welding table which is like the MFT for metalworkers

I watched a couple of the previews - a little bit over the top for me but I suppose they need all that faux excitement for people with short attention spans.

Yeah, it's aimed at people with Attention Defi... Hey, is that a chicken?

[big grin]

Super cool.  Glad to see all that exposure.  That's a pretty darn big deal.  Anyway to view online?

Thanks for the reminder Shane- have my DVR set too since I won't be home to watch.

Thanks for the reminder, Shane.

It's at 22:00 so I just setup to DVR the series.

"non-paid capacity" ya right. You're pushing this show pretty hard

I'm just excited to see some of our tools in use. I sit behind a computer all day talking about them and spend some of my free time using them. But, what really inspires me is seeing what our great, creative users do with them.

We paid nothing for our tools to be used on the show. Spike lists the sponsors of the show and we are not included. Believe it or not.

I've already seen Makita and Dewalt tools as well in the first 15 minutes of the show.

I am a fan of Jory's work and look forward to seeing the designs out of this show. I very rarely watch anything like reality TV, but I will watch something which shows real talent with visual artisans. I also will enjoy catching the festools in the show. A SHOT everytime you see a Festool! Framework, the new drinking game.
