Could anyone tell me if using a TS-75 will affect the splinterguard on my guide rails that have only ever been used with a TS-55R? Because the kerf is different I'm wondering if the 75 would take a 1/10 of a mm of the splinter guard,  or is the distance exactly the same for both saws? I have read that the 75 can be 'set' and wonder if this means you can set it to match another?

Thank you to anyone that can tell me, Ian

You could probably adjust the TS75 to match the cut with your 55. If however it's a borrowed saw then that's probably not a good idea. [mad]
If you plan to acquire a second saw then I think it can be made to work.

*Disclaimer: Haven't tried it myself

You can set the TS75 to match the kerf set by your existing 55.  Do a search for the TS Supplemental manual by Rick Christopherson, the instructions are in there.

Thank you, I knew I had seen it somewhere. I also thought it would be very un-Festool like if they couldn't use the same guide rail, but wanted to be 100% certain before I buy a 75.
