Hi Guys,

Just a heads up and a little help if possible. My van was broken into last night and all my tools stolen. I'm in the Midlands of the uk so if anyone gets offered or sees any of the below items being sold off suspiciously could you PM me.

CT midi with a sys 3 modified for 36mm hose on top
OF 2200 with straight cutters for worktop mitres
OF 1400 setup for 35mm hinge boring with 2 Festool cutters
TSC 55
TS 55
RO 150
CXS with 12 draw sortainer on the bottom
Makita SDS in a sys 3
T 18 in one of JRB's sys radios with uni light and assortment of drills

Cheers guys

I'm sorry that happened to you. I'll keep my eyes open for things being sold on Gumtree. I check it regularly for antiques and clocks etc...

Yep me too mate!! Unfortunately I can't be sure if that's mine. I'm sure mine was in better condition tho. It had one of the sets of 8 brad point drills in it to. I'm sat here trying to remember all the stuff that's gone. Just realised my set of 4 Japanese wood chisels were in the bottom of the sortainer on the bottom of the cxs!!

It's all the self made inserts of everything that's going to take forever to get back to where I had it. :(

Crap news  :( really sorry to hear this, will keep my eyes open online as well.

Thanks guys,

I'm in the sheffield area. I have them on cctv in the act but no faces unfortunately. They did something weird to the alarm to be able to get in. The police have little idea how it was done. The central locking wouldn't work but I locked it with the key then an hour later it was working again.

The biggest pain is I can't find anything out from the insurance company until Tuesday now because of the long bank holiday weekend.

I'm heart broken to be honest. I'd just got my setup exactly as I wanted it.

Thanks again everyone.

Sad news indeed. I doubt they will surface down these parts, but I will keep an eye out for anything that may fit.

I hope your insurance can come through, don't forget that Festool have a replacement service available, I know it is still going to cost you but perhaps between Festool and your insurance you might not end up too badly off.

I know it feels crap though and the problem is, once they know the stuff has been replaced they may try again. That's happened down here a few times.

Gutted for you Roadkill........

Please try not to let it get to you too much mate, if there is any justice in this world, then maybe one day they will get their comeuppance  [mad]

I hope the insurance company sees you right, and though it'll be pain to sort out all of the little things you'd done, like the inserts, take it as a chance to improve upon them this time sir.

Hi sorry to hear that, will keep a look out I am down in London
do you have the serial numbers for the tools it may help us to try
and find them,

Just look at the pics again should have had my glass on the numbers are with the pics

Sorry to hear about the theft  :(
I'm in Kent and My 2011 transit was broken in to last June and everything was nicked. If your van is not the newest version out (and it's a Ford) then there is a gadget these scumbags use from ebay and a video on YouTube showing how to use it [mad]
Festool were brilliant though and even replaced some of my tools that were out of warranty as a good will guesture.
I hope they catch them or tools are somehow recovered. Good luck.

sorry to hear about your van & tools , its sickening when it happens , hopefully you can get something sorted with the insurance company on Tuesday, try & stay positive my friend hopefully you will get some new tools out of it .

Absolutely gutted for you mate. This sort of thing utterly disgusts me. Scum of the earth. Hope you get something sorted. Chin up mate

Thanks all, a kiss and cuddle with my daughter has taken all the gutted feeling away (until tomorr anyway)

Thanks again.

Nothing worse than b_st_rds who rob your tools and stop you putting food on the table. Hopefully you will get your gear back.
Cuddles are SO underrated  [smile], nothing beats a good cuddle..
Dave

Hi
Really upset to hear of this and as you earn a living from the tools even more so.
I have sent a P.M to you.
