Storage of Festool Drills in a Drill Rack - Looking for ideas

So as many of you probably know, you can't always do with one Festool drill. I'm looking for member implemented designs to store their drills in an easy accessible storage solution for their shop. I have seen the typical drill storage ideas, but the design of the Festool drills does raise some design issues due to the different handle designs.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use the OmniWall setup and their drill/driver rack (holds four) works just fine with my two CSX (10v), CSX-18 and an impact driver from another color.

Thanks Jim. I looked at that as an option, but I'm not sure I want to get into another "system" with the OmniWall platform.

I do appreciate the feedback.

I made cordless drill holders out of empty and washed soup cans, and screwed them to the bottom of the cupboard or shelves in the shop, near or just above the workbench.

Hint...you can easily adapt the drill carrier to screw direcly to the wall or insert into "standard" shelf rails. I did the former in my temporary shop as that drill/driver holder was the first piece of the OmniWall system I bought before eventually deciding to use it in the new shop. I use standard shelf brackets to make my own fixtures for the wall including my plane till and chisel rack.

I may give that a try. Thanks for the pictures.

I modified a design I saw on the web for a holder which used T-Track. I slimmed it down so that I only had to add T-Track to the wall instead of mounting the T-Track to a panel and adding build up to the t-track.  It works for a multitude of drills, sanders, nailers and is adjustable for each tool.

Note- you don't necessarily need the T-Track, you could just mount directly to the wall/cabinet.

Fastcap drill holders are useful and inexpensive but yeah, not big around enough for the TPC18. A CSX fits nicely but I suspect maybe not so much with a C18. Being a mobile shop guy most of my drills are in Systainers with their bits, cutters, and countersinks. The Fastcap holders get called into service for shop projects. Here's a link.

I just put them all on a shelf. They are very easy to grab and always within arms reach.
