Strip Curtains

Anyone with experience or recommendations concerning those clear vinyl/PVC strip curtains?
How well do they work at keeping dust out and temperature constant?
Is there some height above which they are a bad choice/idea?

I’ve used them in a tall shop before. Once you get past 12-14 feet, they get heavy and start swaying a lot, which makes them less effective at sealing. Great for temp control in smaller openings though.

Our factory used them at the loading dock. I suppose they helped, but it was still cold out there.

What helped even more was an electric opener/closer for the dock’s door. It encouraged closing the door, even if it was just for 5 minutes. The manual chain drive discouraged that.

In any case, try to come up with a solution that encourages closing the door. Perhaps a hydraulic door closer.
