Stumping

Was digging up stumps on my farm when I realized one was walnut and good and solid, I have it drying in my barn. Any suggestions on what to do with it?

Used a power washer to get the dirt out of the roots... Its a Dirty Job

You might cut slabs with a chain saw and see what is there.  I like to turn bowls on my lathe.  If is often best to rough turn  the bowls while still wet.  The grain can be beautiful in portions of wood that aren't suitable for furniture, etc.

That's a good idea been needing an excuse to buy a lathe
