Building some cabinets and was looking into doing the cup hinges, which I've never used before. I don't have a 35mm boring bit, and am going to order one, but as I'm in a bit of a rush (wanted to get cabinet finished before family starts piling in for holidays), I was wondering if anyone has ever simply substituted a 1 3/8" bit for this work, which comes in at 34.9mm.
Also, is there a difference between a hinge boring bit and a forstner bit? Is it that the former doesn't produce a deeper point in the center of the hole?
