Suggestions for minimal length 3.6mm connection from Kapex to midi/mini?

Planning on a new Kapex purchase and want to maximize air flow/dust removal.  According to Sedge the shortest length (and 36mm connector) is the way to go.  I don't want to cut up one of the newer flexible hoses  [scared]
so wondering if anyone has managed this and has suggestions.  Perhaps with the older ridged hose style?
I did see what looked like a perfect solution, the Festool 499196 Adapter Hose, Multi-Colour  on Amazon but it is only a couple feet long and I believe it will take 3-4 feet to make a comfortable connection.  This will go from the Kapex to extractor with the Kapex on the mobile stand and the extractor nestled underneath.
What do you think?

When you are figuring the length check what you need with the saw at extreme compound miter / bevel and slid all the way out.

I used the Bosch hose with Festool hose end,
Works fine.
I don’t think the smooth hose is that important on the Kapex.
