Sword Saw SSU200 - Oil Feed when Cutting with Chain Side-On instead of Downwards

Hello,

I have recently bought a sword saw and have so far used it to mitre cut oak sleepers... lengthways - what a tool! This was to build a curved vertical sleeper retaining wall. Now that the wall is in place, I need to cut all the tops off the sleepers, so they are level.

The question:
Will the SSU200 feed oil to the chain correctly when on its side? I.e. chain pointing sideways, rather than downwards.
If so, will it work on both sides, or just one?
If not, what's my best bet? Get someone to manually squirt chain oil onto the tool as I cut?
Or use a different tool altogether (more cost), such as a very large circular saw.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Steve
