While I wait for a good reason to buy some Festool tools, I have immediate need for better tool organization, and I decided the Systainer system was the best way to go.  I opted to go with Festool branded instead of ordering Tanos from Lee Valley which I originally planned to do (I like those blue latches!) but it's was just way more convenient with accessibility to Festool branded ones.

My first use is not tool related, a bit unconventional I'd say.  So here is my SYS 1 Box - Pool Edition

Most of these chemical were shipped in a tackle box with the exception of the contents of the blue insert and the SpeedStir.  I would put those on top of the tackle box and carry it out to the pool and they would usually end up sliding off if I wasn't paying attention and holding them, which kind of annoyed me.  I also wanted everything to be in a single container.  I could have simply stuck the tackle box and the other items inside an empty SYS 1 but that's no fun, plus it's an extra container to have to open/close.

I was hoping to fit everything in the box inserts but the large R-0013 bottle is just too big, but it still worked out nicely.  Nothing is jammed in/difficult to get to.  I don't have to remove one chemical to get to another, and there's plenty of room for me to hold 2 of every chemical (except the large R-0013) if desired.

THANK YOU!!! [big grin]

I never thought of using a systainer for our pool testing equipment. Genius!

My wife will thank you since she has a tendency to lose the strips and bottles all the time.  Great idea! [thumbs up]

Cheers,
Frank

I have a bottle of AquaCheck 7 strips (100 quantity) with is the largest test strip bottle i'm aware of.  It won't fit inside of any of the insert boxes, but it does fit if you remove some of the inserts.  It will obviously fit in an empty systainer.

I don't have them in my box because I had no room, and I don't use them too often.  Only if i'm feeling really lazy, as the accuracy can be all over the place.
