Anyone know if you can buy the contents of the sys 1 box thats the one with all the multi coloured boxes in and foam bits. I have just picked up 3 Metabox sys 1's and would like to add inserts to them. My local shop is selling them for ?15 less than half what a Festool sys 1 is at the moment  ;D ;D ;D.

I know that they are available in the states from McFeeley's.  I would imagine that they would also be available to you in the UK.  You might want to check some on-line resources such as Healy's.

Not cheap though, especially when you look at their shipping fees.

You can also buy the boxes separately from Festool.

And you can order every insert separately as a replacement part. Replacement parts are not listed in their normal catalogue so you'll have to go to your local dealer for that.

Yes, you can get the multi-coloured boxes that fit into the SYS 1 BOX separately, with the following order numbers:

(All 63mm high)
Red, 54x54mm, 12 in pack, 487657. (Click here for sample of item on eBay from Healy's)
Yellow, 108x54mm, 6 in pack, 487658
Blue, 108x108mm, 3 in pack, 487659
Green, 162x108mm 2 in pack, 487660

A soft foam eggbox style insert for the lid can be found with Order No 491640. This is called a "Dimpled cover pad" and designated "SE-DP SYS 1-4" in the UK.

A hard foam insert for the lid has Order No 491641. Called a "Hard foam cover inlay, flat" and designated DE SYS 1-4.

cheers guys i did a bit of searching and found all the codes around 3.50 for the lid but 10 for the base inlay seems a bit strong so i might just make my own i already have a few of theboxes and i can just buy the lid insert
