Sys 5 for angle grinders?

Anybody got pictures of a Systainer set up for a 7/9 inch grinder? I have a Milwaukee and a Bosch and want to get them off the bench.

That kind of grinders are too big for standard systainers. They fit in a sys maxi. Perhaps also in the new sys midi, but I don't know about that because I haven't gotten my hands on one yet.

I keep my 150mm Protool angle grinder in a Maxi, with just enough room for a "other brand" polisher.

My big Protool diamond grinder comes in a case that's just a little bit bigger than a maxi.

You may squeeze something in a new Midi, but I don't like your chances.

You MIGHT be able to squeeze one into a MIDI? I am storing larger tools like my Recip saw and worm drive saw in MIDIs. I'll post pics later, see if that helps. Goo luck!  [smile]

I store two 4 1/2" grinders in a Midi III; one with a metal cutting blade and one with a diamond blade (we install commercial steel doors and do commercial locksmithing and access control work among other things).  The grinders would fit into a II, however, in the past I kept them in Plano tool boxes with accessories in a tray. By trimming the ends of the tray I could also fit that into a III.  I use Midis for my 4 1/2" Hitachi jointer, my Milwaukee band saw (the new compact), My metal forming tools, my 18V Milwaukee system tools and my Flex and Makita die grinders.  By switching from Planos to Systainers my tools no longer slide all over the back of my van.  LOVE FESTOOL!
