So is Kapex next?

I immediately (sarcastically) thought exactly the same thing when I read this particular sentence, "When the quality of our products seems to be unsatisfactory, we immediately take measures to resolve the situation.

IP 44 appears to be a standard,http://www.ozlighting.com.au/blog/ip-ratings-demystified/
It is either an enforceable health and safety standard, or it is not.

As I do not have one, I do not know how it meets or does not meet customer satisfaction.

Festool owners seem generally satisfied with Festool products. The Kapex is either the exception, or the dissatisfaction just appears skewed with only the complainers complaining and the satisfied silent.

"Seems" seems to be the key word here:  "When the quality of our products seems to be unsatisfactory, we immediately take measures to resolve the situation.

Yes IP stands for "ingress protection" my guess is Festool take the potential consequences and legal bill for getting a puddle of water inside an electrical product more seriously than a saw that fails to work prematurely.

Just had a call from festool uk about this to arrange to pick
It up from me, I asked about a replacement but was told that my supplier
Will give me a refund, asked when they would be back in the suppliers
Again and was told that they do not know, the problem was to do with
The seal around the sockets .

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to assure our customers that no other products are affected. We expect that we will have a new production lot for UK available at your dealer as of July.

Hi, I was wondering, what with it now being July, when we were likely to see the new improved SYS-HUB back, and available for purchase?

Really miss mine at the moment.

I kind of like the concept, likely will buy it. I have a heavy duty extension so I'm not worried about the shorter length of cable. I would be fine for interior jobs..Keeps it relatively light too..

So what was the end result? No one has posted if they ever got a replacement.

Or did Festool never come out with a replacement SYS-PowerHub. I doubt that
but since no one has posted stating they have the replacement I am curious.

Ha Ive seen this around the net and the first thing I thought was: So this is to replace a $10 power strip w/ extension cord and a $10 USB charger? Both of which are probably already stashed in a Systainer of other lose stuff that one carries around if they use Systainers for such purposes (like in a mobile workshop/van). Take those cheap items and charge whatever this thing is going to go for? $100+? But I guess if you feel like blowing some money on the green, it gives you more to consume.

All this systainer stuff isn't developed or made by Festool, but Tanos. Both companies are however owned byTTS, tooltechnic services.
Just like Bosch doesn't develop or make sortainers, those are made by Sortimo.
