Has anyone got the systainer roll cart that looks like a set of hand trucks? If so, how well does it roll on surfaces other than concrete?

I have one and it works great. Just like a hand truck but holds systainers well. It easily handles steps and semi rough ground. The locking front wheels are a nice addition that keeps it in place on uneven surfaces.

I liked my so much i got another one, and now am able to get every tool i will need (minus kapex) inside a customers house in 2 trips. I originally fell in love with systainers and then saw the Dave Reinhold review of the sys cart, and as i do a lot of wardrobe fitting, these are great for getting your tools up stairs etc. Little drawer is handy for extras like clamps, glues, polish cloths etc.

Another useful thing i realised, is that when i got a new van a couple of months ago, i ordered a couple of the straps that the sys roll comes with on their own, and made a systainer bed out of 2x2 against my wheel arch which can fit 2 stacks, and then made a t-track with some scraps of wood, screwed to my side ply-lining, which takes the strap end, so can have a reasonably high stack of systainers secured while the van is on the go. So apart from a false floor for my rails, levels and other long items, I haven't had to spend out on expensive racking!

Ive brought mine lots of places in the past three years.  Very handy and goes pretty much anywhere.

Hi Freddy  any chance of pictures of your setup in the van please.
Thanks

I have one of these carts and they roll pretty good on most surfaces. If you are carrying them on there back wheels, they will roll over extension cords fairly easily.  Like any cart, the more weight you have in them the worse or harder it is to get them to roll.  But I use mine almost every day to help lug tools and systainers around.

I was hoping to resurrect this old thread to see pics of how you, or anyone else, has been able to use sys rolls in their van in lieu of racking/shelving.  I’m hoping this is feasible, but can’t help but think a good bump or two will bounce the stack of systainers to the floor?

I am curious too... And any updates from early adopters? How has the Sys roll held up? Mods? DIY versions... Other than the slick white Polish one?
I need a solution, but the price increase with no improvements is putting me off....  And I am in the process of building an MFTC.

I've had my sys cart for about 5 months now, and I have all the pneumatic nails and staples that I use in a 3 drawer Systainer. The other 3 drawer has screws for cabinet installs, galvanized, and stainless for framing and misc. I also have the tool box Systainer which I've filled with my most commonly used hand tools. The bottom drawer on the cart has extra hand tools that don't fit in the tool box. I bought the cart and all of the Systainers because the job we were on required us to setup and work in different rooms almost everyday in a very large and spread out house. I've thrown a vac and mft on the pile and I'm ready for just about anything. I'll take some pictures tomorrow of my setup.
Cheers
