Sys Roll Modification

Just wanted to share a quick glimpse at how I modified my SysRoll without any permanent changes. I needed this because I do not have Festool drills (want em, dont have em), however I do carry my drills/impact in one sys2. I wanted my chargers ready to go all the time and wanted to use some of the wasted space on the back side of this. I also use the space between the systainers and plywood to bring in odd items to a job such as a paint poles, longer levels, etc.. I also needed a quick way to remove it so I could pull it up into my truck with ease and the T bolts with knobs do the trick. 1/4 turn and slide them up and out. I can still go up and down stairs no issue. A simple french cleat bolted to the lower and a matching angle holds it in place. (BTW, if you have no systainers on the cart or only an empty one, yes..it will tip backwards, but do it once and youll remember the next time :).

Enjoy, modify, have fun.

Great mod. And well designed! I wish more people would post their modifications. They can be very helpful and inspiring to others. Thanks for sharing.

I like this idea too.  I'm wondering about a piece of 1/4" / 6mm pegboard as the back piece.  Although regular pegboard hooks would not be suitable the holes might reduce weight a bit and could be used with regular screws to attached cleats, brackets, etc.

Im glad you like it. I love using it and have been using it for months now.

1/4" or pegboard would work just fine depending on if you want to mount anything heavy to it. I had left overs which is why I used 1/2".

I was thinking to avoid anything too heavy on the back to reduce the chances of pulling the cart over.

Particularly if there isn't much weight on the platform, for example if you lift off the last or second-last systainer you don't want the cart to fall backwards.
