As a side note, I have one of those wooden block planes with the Lignum Vitae sole.
Its the one with the screw adjuster to set the blade depth and it's a pig to adjust the depth of correctly.
I think I'd rather have one with a wooden wedge that needs to be tapped with a mallet.
I want to like it but its a pain in the neck and my Veritas low angle blockplane absolutely urinates over it from a great height.
The other wooden planes I have are of the wedge to hold the blade in place type and are really nice to use so it just seems to be that one thats awkward to adjust right.
