Silly question but I’ve just got some sys3 boxes with front handles, but they won’t release from the case, I don’t want to break them but I’ve used some force and they won’t budge.... what am I doing wrong?

Easy to misunderstand these lookalikes, they do look like the other handles that do in fact release  [blink]

If you have not pulled them quite off, nor me, yet  - I’m pretty sure someone have  [big grin]

Yeah, there was a moment of "this is gonna break", but knew that this forum would have the answers, so thanks :-)

Welcome to the sucky Sys3... where the front handle is fake, the top handle is reversed, the inside volume is reduced and the systemheight is nixxed...

Does anyone know how to remove the front handle from a sys3 that actually does have a working front handle?
The working front handle of the Sys3 prevents latching with the T-Loc below it unless the handle is released and left swinging in the breeze.
Also my sys3 has the layout photo's for the attachments as if in a T-Loc Sys. but without the insert tool positioners. I called Festool and they did send me a photo of the "new" layout but it is messy and the lid has to be slightly forced close. I did figure out a solution where everything fits and the lid is not forced. But hey, at least the Sys3 bottom is stronger, it has a new center lid hinge and the Festool name is right way around when the lid is open! Still, I'm not happy with the encroachment on space and the removal of tool positioners. Proper prior planning prevents poor performance, but they didn't and we suffer.

The layout photo in the lid is of Sys3 and I don't think this one was ever sold with an insert. Only with this layer of flexible foam. That is how the same set in Systainer Classic was too.

Correct.

The bottom photo in that lid insert is for the "Tradesman Cleaning Kit" that comes in an M437 and includes a hose.

I have both of these sets (the one with the hose and the one without), and the big Sys came with an insert while the small Sys only has low density foam in the bottom.

Yes, the big sets with hose do have a proper insert, the small set really doesn't need an insert. Insert parts, shake, close lid. That's all.
