Sys3 rails in UK

It's crazy how 3 sister companies make it so hard for their customers to buy their products.

For the record, I do not believe Boot and TTS Tooltechnic (Festool and TANOS owner) are related ownership-wise.
The SYS3 partnership may have originated at some party where TTS and Bott owning families or execs had a good time, but they be no "sisters". Though they do act alike at times .. kinda like Mafell or Fein ..

Ahem, all are German private/family businesses. Being smug seems native to the industrialist culture (over there, maybe, but Musk is no German, heh). On the good side, that smugness (and stubbornness) is what "saved" these companies from mass off-shoring so far. Guess nothing is free in life.

I don't know what their corporate structure is, but in the US at least, Festool, Systainer Systems (Bott), and Tanos (Systainer.store) operate from the same address. Bott van racking ships with Tanos systainers instead of Bott branded ones. And Festool promotes their racking in video and email campaigns. Even if they are under different ownership, it's obvious that they work closely with each other in product development. That's why it's so bizarre that the whole EU market can't make proper use of the racking capability on Sys 3 (main difference with t-loc)

Yeah. I believe the US setup is a special case - Bott did not really have a presence while FUSA is historically operating more like an independent distributor. They probably have agreed to "take up" the distribution of the Bott stuff, to see how it goes.

In Europe the Bott retail/customer-facing org is the bigger one while Festool has very little direct (retail-ish) presence. The only thing "connecting" them is TANOS making the boxes for both companies.
