I know its seems like I only hop on here to complain but, when you pay 2-3 times as much for products from a company you expect they have their act together or if they don't it shouldn't cost the consumer more!

I ordered the new syslite 2 and got the call from Woodcraft that  it was in yesterday. I went to pick it up and it did not have the metal magnetic mounting  base with the package.

This is the page on Festool U.S.A. I found it on.http://festoolusa.com/power-tools//syslite-ii-high-intensity-led-work-lamp-500723 As of today there are no other pages on the site for the NEW syslite where you can get a basic version or the set. If there is I must really be inept. That is a way outside option in this case but, not impossible.

On the page I have linked there are 3 of 6 pictures of the syslite 2 on the metal magnetic mounting base. Now considering there are no other pages for the syslite 2 wouldn't one figure that the metal stand is part of the 195.00 dollar package? Of course you would. Even on the work light accessories page there is no separate purchase option for this base..

So I say to the guys at Woodcraft. Hey where's the magnetic metal base? and they say hhhmmm lets look into it.

They magically pull up a website that has the Syslite 2 set with the base in it for 250.00.

So there you have it. I had to cough up another 55.00 bux and have to wait for the new light I went to pick up to come in again. I don't believe this will be like the 2 month wait for the Kapex but, none the less feel a smidge burned by their lack of detail.

Hopefully this light is better than my other option.

Anyway. How about getting on the ball and updating your website as to not have anyone else have this happen?

I was able to find two listings for the new Syslite II on the Festool USA page by typing 'Syslite' into the search function.

However, the $195 set does indeed show the magnetic base, and the photo caption says "Protect your light and hang where you need it with a flexible magnetic mounting base."

That is kind of sketchy---

Our website lists what's included and, in many cases, optional accessories shown in photos will note they are optional or be grayed out in the photo.

These pages have been updated to give a better understanding of what's included in each version and show the different ways to buy. To be honest, I think that we need to do a better job of making it easy to understand all of the ways to buy products and to clearly show what's in each version. It's something that I've been advocating since I started a few months ago, and this is a good example of why. I've been reworking some things recently to minimize this confusion in the future.

The registration website also needs work as not all options are represented for the newer tools.  Last time I looked, my TXS does not show up in my list of tools even though I tried to register it a couple of times.  The TXS Set is not listed as an option either.

The TXS is showing up for me both as Plus and Set. Let me know if it isn't appearing for you.

I don't know what to tell you.  I tried to register my TXS three times and received three confirmation emails, but it still does not show up in my list of registered tools.

Also, I still do not see the TXS Set listed in the drop down.  According to the Festool USA website, the TXS comes in a Plus and Set version.  The PDC comes in a Basic, Plus, and Set version.  Are you sure the terminology on the registration website is consistent with the Festool USA website?  Actually, I don't see any "sets" listed.  See attached screen shot.  I must be missing something.

Am I missing something or did the Link in the OP get updated?  On the page in the link, just above the three bullet points, it states in bold that the magnet is not included and to click it's link which takes you to the page with the light with the magnet.

When will they get the Duo light in the US ? Nevrmind the SysLite II

Are you asking when the SysLite II will be available in the US? If so, it was released here in December.

EDIT: Your phrasing on the question through me off. We have no timeline for the SysLite Duo in the US yet.

1 - the only way I could find this item is searching with google--weird.
2 - what is the lumen output?
3 - does it come with a a/c charger or ?

The SysLite II produces 769 lumens on high and 310 lumens on low. It also has a larger capacity internal battery than the SysLite I, which gives it a longer run time. SysLite I = 90 minutes, SysLite II = 130 minutes on high. The light color on the SysLite II is more white and has less blue/purple fringes. It's also about 40% brighter than the SysLite I.

It comes with an AC plug in wall charger.

Thanks for all of the data. That really helps.
