I install wood flooring and stairs and it just so happened that my last three jobs had flooring going in on the 2nd floor. that translated to several trips up and down the stairs carrying a systainer in each hand. i was off today so i finally got around to making a bottom plate for one of those "cheapie" dollies with the fold out wheels that i bought a few months ago on Amazon (it even had Festool Green wheel and handle option) my sys-cart goes with me on every job so if this is mainly used for going up a staircase, maybe it will last...maybe.
if it does work, i may buy a sturdier dollie with a heavier weight capacity. i'll keep you posted.

That's a really good idea.  I'm assuming the plate is made out of aluminum?  How thick and how is it fastened?

Costco had some of the dollies in stock at one time.

Thanks for sharing!

yes its 1/4" aluminum, i cut off the existing plate where it pivots and tapped for 6-24 x 3/4" bolts into the pivot posts. (3 bolts per post)

i also purchased the Cosco multi shifter cart but decided that it was a lot of work to modify that one into a double cart. i ended up using an ABS sheet and the lids of two Systainers.

I attached one of these dollies to the bottom of a sys cart after being disenchanted with the construction of the sys roll
Some aluminum flat stock , hollow tubing for spacers and some carriage bolts was all I used
It's working pretty good so far I even attached a click together tool belt to hold the stack in
Maybe the only glitch is it works best when being pulled rather than pushed given the wheel arrangement
