systainer sys cart magic working height

Isn't the GRS 16 fatter on the clip? (Too lazy to measure mine)

Maybe incorporate the spacer into a newly sized SYS-MFT.

Yest it is ... but upside down the clip can be fit inside the cavity of the handle. With 15mm inset for the GRS itself, those 35mm is enough.

Was just exercising my mind what type of things would be storable inside the internal volume created .. and came up with these.

Edit, you are right ... the handle cavity is too sideways (on a T-Loc), so the GRS would interfere with the feet needed. The blade storage stays. Actually will solve three of my "problems" in one - spacer for 900 with cart, a stable flat worktop and blades storage for TS 55. All in one item. No messing with catch needed even as do not want to stack anything atop of it.

How many blades do you need? I have like four of them in the inlay of the TS 55 itself.

Do not use an inlay - SYS 5 I got with my TSC was unneccessarily huge - I never took it with two chargers and two spare batteries.

Have my TSC 55 in a SYS 4 laced with foam with a SYS-MFT top. Have now one blade in it, but it is annoying me as there is not much space left with the saw horizontally on the bottom as it is way wider than a TS 55 ..

Also, I do not use/take the TSC always - have other saws - and am planning on a HKC 55. So want to have a basic blade set(s) separately from it but easity transportable at the same time. Dedicating a SYS I to that job is a waste on the other hand.

When I switch to TS 55 R next year, this may change a bit, but still would prefer a basic blade set to be something easy to pick up standalone, irrespective of what saw I do/do not/ take with me. Found it the hard way that the moment I have multiple tools which take a type of a consumable, I generally do not want the consumable to be "connected" with the tool for transport.

Also found that carying my blades-systainer is not really a good strategy (never bothered to) so will move the blades to a normal euro-container for permanent storage in the shop and need something of a ready suply - like your four blades with TS systainer - just separately.

I find the paper blade storage cariers annoying to take blades from ... so woud like the go-to ones a bit more accessible and a bit more protected at the same time.

Anyway, I came with the idea just now ... so do not be too hard if it is stupid please!
[cool]

Mainly, I am a hobby user ... so a way less predictable use pattern .. one never knows what stupid idea comes up!

Ah see, I don't have a TSC, so no such problem. Although the TS 55 F came in a too big box too... fault of Sys3

But the Classic Systainer of my old TS 55 didn't fit the GRS 16..

So, it turns out that the following combination of sys cart and systainers absolutely nails the 900mm working height. It's exactly 900mm so I have to assume it's intentional:

The image is a little deceptive because the floor is out, but I can assure you that the combination shown above (and any combination that meets the same dimensions) is exactly 900mm.

So, to be clear, from the floor up the magic combination is comprised of:

  • Gen3 SYS-Cart SYS-RB
  • Systainer³ SYS3 XXL 337
  • Systainer³ SYS3 M 237
  • Systainer³ SYS3 M 187

Here's a better shot showing the exact 900mm working height achieved:

Enjoy!

That is supposedly 898
So the SYS-RB at 158, three ugly constants (3x30) and 13 "units" (13x50) = 898mm

The problem still is... those 13 "units" have to spread over exactly three Systainer or you have to spread 10 units over 8 Systainers. The latter is impossible, so it really just means you can only get this stack with three Systainers. The possible combinations are a LOT smaller than with T-Loc.

Hello All,

I stumbled upon this revived thread as I was looking for the same magic number while thinking of buying a SYS Roll Board and SYS MFT.

I wrote an optimization model and using the heights of all my systainers as inputs, the model gives me some combinations that achieve working heights close to 90 cm.

Here is a few that I liked:

Option 1
TSC 55 or Shaper Origin
OF1010 or OF2200 Accessories
Blue with bit set
Cart (Sys roll)
Total height = 900 mm

Option 2
Sys 437 (TSC 55, Shaper Origin)
Sys 187 (sander)
Sys 137
Cart (Sys roll)
Total height = 898 mm

Option 3
Sys 337 (OF 2200)
Sys 187 (sander)
Sys 237 (OF1010 or OF2200 Accessories)
Cart (Sys roll)
Total height = 898 mm

Option 4
This one gets very close with a 3/4" ish plywood scrap piece on top. Convenient enough for me.
Sys MFT 112
Sys 437 (TSC 55, Shaper Origin)
Sys 112 (cleaning set)
Sys 89 (Blue systainer with bit set)
Cart (Sys roll)
Total height = 880 mm

I hope this helps!
